Tignes Monday

Heavy rainfall all Sunday morning in Bourg, a drop in temperatures and a heavy overnight frost... Some 15-20cms of untracked powder first thing Monday as a result, and conditions didn't begin to deteriorate until well after midday.

Very quiet - the teams kept to their allotted training runs, the boarders mostly messing around in the snowpark, no more than half a dozen or so 'tourists'. More often than not I was the only skier on the Leisse black.

Higher temperatures forecast later in the week, perhaps even rain on the glacier, so this was a 'must do' trip.  Glorious weather too - hardly any wind, cool, full sun.
